Accredited Conservation Architects

Competitive, dependent on experience

Full-time, 40 hours per week, with office/home working

London and Manchester

• Accredited Conservation Architect status through RIBA, AABC or equivalent recognised conservation accreditation
• Candidates with extensive conservation experience but without formal accreditation may also be considered

• Membership of, or eligibility for membership of, relevant professional bodies including IHBC, RIBA or AABC
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working on the repair, refurbishment or conservation of existing buildings, with a strong understanding of traditional construction
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience undertaking condition surveys, quinquennial inspections, schedules of work and material specifications
• Experience in the repair and restoration of historic fabric, with knowledge of legislation, standards and conservation best practice
• Good knowledge of British architectural history, conservation principles, traditional materials and repair techniques
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to travel to sites across the UK
